I think that webquest are time consuming for the teacher. Most of the time the teacher is going to have to search many hours to find one they can use, or they are going to have to make their own up. BUT LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING! Goodpeperation/ teaching takes times. I know that webquest can and will invite/engage students to learn, go at their pace and if needs be can be used with blending learning at home. I feel that webquest can also have modifications built into them to differentiate learning for students to help a wider spectrum of students.
I feel just like any situations work, sports, or school. If you have more buy in to something you will try harder and focus more on it. Our school would go to a space center in American Fork utah. I remember that each ship had different jobs. The job I got stuck with was communications, I had to type messages. Well I hated typing and was slow at it. But since the situation was engaging and it was for the team I did it and actually enjoyed it. So I look at it that way for empowering students. We we engage them, support them and encourage them. Their drive for learning improves and develops.
